Expedition

Thanks to great advancement within deep sea technology, the right search area and information, it is now possible to find Atze ́s Temple and the
sunken land.

Survey Group Denmark is planning the first expedition to a definite area in the Atlantic Ocean. Survey Group Denmark has among others the following options to locate and document Atze`s Temple. In this way remains of Atze ́s Temple, of the city, harbour etc. can be located.

The research vessel PELAGIA equipped with Acoustic Positioning system, High resolution multibeam echosounder, different equipment for taking core samples in sea bottom.

The REMUS 6000 type AUV designed for marine research.
This torpedo-shaped system can handle several scientific
objectives during a dive: Multibeam echosounder, sidescan sonar, subbottom profiler sonar, electronic still camera and more.

Oceangate´s TITAN is the latest within manned deepsea vehicles.
It can dive 4000 meters and allows up to 5 people including the pilot.

If this can be at Survey Group Denmark´s disposal for just s few days, we shall be able to do the find, document it with photos and bring up artefacts.

This requires a ship to tow the TITAN on the launch and recovery system (LARS).
Or to transport it in a container onboard a research ship.
